Property: dl-form, colorless cubic crystals. Insipid odor. mp 51-52°C. bp₇₆₀ 158.5-159.5°C, bp₁₀₀ 92.4°C, bp₁₆ 55-56°C. d⁵⁴₄ 0.8422, n⁵⁴_D 1.4551. Practically insoluble in water. Moderately soluble in alcohol. Soluble in ether, cyclohexane, cyclohexene, dioxane, chloroform, Volatilizes on exposure to air. Toxicity: LD₅₀ in mice: 5g/kg.
